Fort Road provides rapid access to Edmonton’s Downtown and other major employment centres.
Three Major Freeways
Fort Road connects to three of Edmonton’s major freeways; the Yellowhead Trail Freeway, Manning Freeway, and Wayne Gretzky Drive.
The Yellowhead Trail Freeway is our East-West connection to Western Canada. The Manning Freeway is the link to Alberta's Industrial Heartland home to Alberta's petrochemical industry. The Gretzky Drive is our access to Southeast Edmonton, our major industrial areas.
The Belvedere LRT Station
The Belvedere Light Rail Transit Station is located in the center of the Fort Road Business area. It provides fast access to downtown Edmonton as well as other major destination such as the University of Alberta, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Rogers Place, and other commercial centers.
Alternate Transportation Modes
Fort Road gets it, people want different choices to get around. Fort Road is connected to downtown via a paved bike/pedestrian path that starts at the Belvedere LRT station.
